GE and NextEra Energy Resources are investigating why one of the former’s turbines collapsed on 23 February at the latter’s 51MW Casa Mesa wind farm in New Mexico.
A spokesman for GE said there were no injuries and the company believes the collapse to be an isolated incident.

“We have a team onsite working closely with the wind farm operator to determine the root cause of this incident,” he said.
NextEra Energy Resources said all other 20 turbines at the project, which came online last year, are operating normally.
Neither company provided any details on the turbine model.
