Swire Blue Ocean jack-up Pacific Orca is installing what it says is the deepest fixed turbine at SSE’s 588MW Beatrice offshore wind farm off the coast of Scotland.
The Danish company said the 64th of 84 Siemens Gamesa 7MW machines is being installed in about 55 metres of water, a record installation depth for Swire Blue Ocean.

The structure is also be the most northerly wind turbine that the company has erected, it added.
Turbine installation started in July 2018, with full commissioning planned for later this year.
