ESB has gone to market for a turbine service agreement for its 24MW West Durham wind farm in north-east England.
The Irish utility indicated the existing agreement for the 12 Senvion MM82 machines at the project near Tow Law will expire later this year.
ESB’s preference is to issue the new turbine service agreement term to run until the end of the design life of the wind farm, which it said is estimated to be a further 10 years.
The company will also consider a shorter, initial term and then issue options to extend the agreement up to the end of design life.
Submissions of interest are due by 6 March with invitations to tender are expected to be issued on 22 March.
The West Durham wind project was originally developed and built by Bank Renewables.
The project was built in 2009 and sold later that year to ESB.
