EEW Offshore Structures Britain has completed the 86 transition pieces it was tasked with fabricating for the 1218MW Hornsea 1 offshore wind farm off the east coast of England.
The TPs were manufactured at the company’s yard on Teesside in north-east England.
EEW OSB said: “This is testament to all of the hard work and dedication from the skilled and committed personnel from EEW OSB on Teesside.”
Danish outfit Bladt Industries is providing a further 68 transition pieces for the project.
The final 20 have been produced by Wilton Engineering in the UK, with the steel tubing coming from Steelwind Nordenham.
Orsted owns 50% of Horneas 1, with Global Infrastructure Partners holding the other 50%.
Hornsea 1 will feature 174 Siemens Gamesa 7MW turbines and is due online in 2020.
