EDPR added 826MW of new renewables capacity in 2018 taking the company’s overall installed clean power assets near to 12GW.
A total of 11,672MW has been installed across the world, with a further 674MW under construction at the end of last year.
Capacity in North America stands at 5562MW, topping Europe, which has 5272MW. A further 467MW is installed in Brazil.
EDPR assets generated 28.4 terrawatt-hours of electricity in 2018, up 3% on 2017 when the output was 27.6TWh.
North America accounted for 55% of the generation, with 40% in Europe and the remainder in Brazil.
Output in Europe was down 2%, mainly as the result of less wind resources in the third quarter of the year.
However, North American generation rose 4% as a result of increased capacity and load factors.
Under construction projects include 344MW of onshore wind in Italy, Spain, Portugal, France and the US.
A further 330MW of offshore wind is being built as part of equity investments by the company.
