FPL is close to completing four more solar farms and recently announced plans to add more than 30 million solar panels across more than 100 new PV plants by 2030.
FPL chief executive Eric Silagy said: “FPL is in the midst of one of largest solar expansions in the history of the US.
“Crossing the 1000MW mark is a symbolic milestone of our commitment.”
FPL’s 30-by-30 plan will result in approximately 11GW of installed solar capacity by 2030.
