Acciona has repowered the 30MW El Cabrito wind plant near the coastal town of Tarifa, in Spain’s Cadiz region.
The 90 original 330kw turbines at El Cabrito, in Tarifa, have been replaced with 12 3MW N100/3000 and 1.5MW AW70/1500 Nordex models.

Acciona completed the commissioning of the installation in the last week of 2018, 14 months after the dismantling of the old wind turbines began.
The plant will produce 16% more clean energy with its 30MW output.
The renovation has also reduced the environmental impact of the wind farm, decreasing its visual and acoustic impact.
