EEW Offshore Structures Britain has started cutting steel for transition pieces for the 752MW Borssele 1&2 offshore wind farm which will be located off the coast of the Netherlands.
The fabricator has a contract to deliver 35 TPs for the project, with Danish outfit Bladt Industries supplying the other 59 structures.

EEW OSB held a ceremony at its Haverton Hill facility to celebrate the milestone.
Borssele 1&2 will feature 94 Siemens Gamesa 8MW turbines.
Sif and EEW SPC will each deliver half of the 94 monopile foundations for the project, which is due online in 2020.
