South Korean company LS Cable & System is to supply subsea wires for WPD’s 640MW Yunlin offshore wind farm off the coast of Taiwan.
LS will deliver 170km of 66kV cabling, which will be installed by Subsea 7 subsidiary Seaway Offshore Cables.

The deal will mark the first time the Koreans have exported submarine cables to the Asian island.
Yunlin will be located about eight km off the coast of the Taiwan Strait and is being developed by WPD subsidiary YunNeng Wind Power Company.
