The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is organising a loan to support a new solar project in Ukraine.
The €24.5m loan will comprise €12.25m from the EBRD’s own account, with the other half coming from the Netherlands development finance company (FMO) for the 30MW plant.

A special purpose vehicle set up by Norwegian developer Scatec Solar will develop the project, which is located in the Cherkasy region of the country.
The deal marks the first time EBRD and FMO have co-financed a renewables project in Ukrine.
