Heavy lift specialist ALE has won a turnkey contract for the Dhofar wind farm in Oman.
The contract covers receiving, transporting and installing 13 turbines at the project, which is expected to be completed in February.

Blades, towers, nacelles and hubs are being transported 590km from the port of Duqm to the project site.
ALE Oman country manager Shafic Tillawi said: “The client recognised our successful track record working on similar wind projects in the world as well as our ability to work effectively with local government requirements and provide the full turnkey solution.
“By utilising our wind-specific equipment and personnel with the vital wind expertise, we can provide a timely solution with one, simplified interface.”
