The European Investment Bank has approved finance totalling €335m for wind and solar energy projects in Spain.
EIB said the new facilities will contribute to the country’s goal of 20% of final energy consumption coming from renewable sources by 2020.

The banks also approved €200m to improve electricity distribution in south-west and north Finland.
EIB is supporting an energy efficiency scheme in Bucharest, Romania, for residential buildings.
