Acciona has topped consultancy Energy Intelligence’s ranking of green utilities for the fourth year running.
The Spanish company said it has held this position in the ‘New Energy Top 100 Green Utilities’ ranking since 2015.

Energy Intelligence has been ranking green utilities for seven years, selecting 100 of the best electricity generation companies in the world based on carbon dioxide emissions and installed renewables capacity (excluding hydro).
The 100 companies ranked by the consultancy have 3370GW of installed capacity and account for 50% of electricity generation around the world.
Following Acciona in the rankings are China General Nuclear, Iberdrola, Eon, NextEra Energy, Invenergy, EDP, China Energy Investment and Orsted.
