Orsted has completed the acquisition of its 100% equity stake in US offshore developer Deepwater Wind.
The conclusion of the deal has been confirmed with former Deepwater owner DE Shaw Group, creating the largest pipeline of development capacity in the US.

The new group’s capacity now totals 9GW, including the operational 30MW Block Island project off Rhode Island, 810MW of projects with routes to market and 2.5GW of planned developments.
The acquisition does not change Orsted’s previous financial guidance for the year or the announced expected investment level for 2018.
