Contractor Ainscough Wind Energy Services has installed two of the 13 Senvion MM92 turbines at Innogy’s Bad a Cheo wind farm at Achkeepster in Caithness, Scotland.
First power from the 26.65MW project is expected next year, Innogy said.

Bad a Cheo will connect via an underground cable to the network at the SSE Mybster substation, 2km north of the wind farm site.
Innogy will set up a £133,250 a year community fund, which will be available for the operational lifetime of the project.
The funding is calculated at a rate of £5000 per MW of installed capacity, with payments index linked, the company said.
