Fugro has won a €1m-plus contract from the Dutch government to provide metocean data for the 700MW Holllandse Kust Noord offshore wind farm.
The 12-month deal worth €1.44m will feature a lidar campaign to measure wind speed and dedicated instrumentation to measure wave and current properties.

The work is expected before a bidding tender for the offshore wind farm zones closes in the fourth quarter of 2019.
Fugro completed a 12-month metocean campaign for Hollandse Kust Noord in April.
The combined work will give Dutch enterprise agency RVO 24 months of data for the zone.
