German developer Trianel has started array cable laying and burial works and reached the halfway mark of foundation installation at its 200MW Borkum West 2.2 project in the German North Sea.
Vessels Seaway Aimery and Seaway Moxie (both pictured) are on the wiring job for the array grid, while Seaway Heavy Lifting crane vessel Stanislav Yudin has installed 16 foundations at the north-eastern part of the project.
The remaining 16 of the project’s 32 foundations will be added before the end of September, Trianel said.
The wind farm will feature 32 Senvion 6.3MW turbines and is scheduled to be fully operational before the end of 2019.
Borkum West 2.2 will export power via the existing substation of the 200MW Borkum West 2.1 wind farm, which came online in 2015.
