A consortium of Prysmian and Louis Dreyfus TravOcean has confirmed it has won a turnkey contract for the supply and installation of array cables for the 480MW Saint-Nazaire wind farm off the coast of France.
The contract, worth over €100m, covers the design, supply and installation of more than 100km of 33kV wires for the Eolien Maritime France (EMF) development.
EMF is a joint venture between EDF Energies Nouvelles and the Canadian company Enbridge.
Saint-Nazaire will feature 80 GE 6MW turbines and is planned for full commissioning in 2022.
