Boskalis cable-lay vessel Stemat Spirit has laid the first inter-array cables at EnBW’s 497MW Hohe See wind farm in the German North Sea.
Stemat Spirit started loading inter-array cables produced by TKF and JDR at the end of July.
Cable installation support vessel Stril Server has also arrived at the construction site located some 95km north of Borkum island.
Boskalis was awarded a contract to supply, install, bury, terminate, and test some 130km of 33kV inter-array cables at the 609MW Hohe See and Albatros wind farm complex.
In April, offshore works at the project started with the installation of the first Hohe See monopile and transition piece.
The 71-turbine Hohe See and 16-turbine Albatros projects are interconnected and will feature Siemens Gamesa 7MW wind turbines.
Full commissioning is scheduled before the end of 2019.
