CPC Finland has started construction of a 50MW wind farm at Isojoki in the Nordic country, following the signing of a long-term corporate power purchase agreement for electricity generated by the project.
The wind farm will feature 12 Vestas V150-4.2MW turbines, installation of which will start next summer.
Civil works started this month with excavation work for the project’s infrastructure, CPC said.
The company, the Finnish subsidiary of CPC Germania, said the wind farm will be built without any subsidies. It did not realease details of the PPA counterparty.
CPC Finland managing director Erik Trast said: “We are extremely satisfied to reach an agreement on the power purchase contract. The contract enables construction of the new turbines in Isojoki completely market-based without any state subsidies at all.”
