French company Total Eren has signed a letter of intent with PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) for the supply of electricity from the 70MW Tanah Laut wind farm in Indonesia.
The project, which will be located in southern Borneo, will be financed, built and operated by Total Eren.
GE is the preferred turbine supplier and has also conducted a project design and grid connection study.
Pace Energy is also involved in the project.
Total Eren executive vice president and global head of business development Fabienne Demol said: “The signature of this letter of intent marks the first important, concrete milestone of the project and we are looking forward to its application.”
PLN is the government-owned electricity provider in Indonesia.
