Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is to supply turbines totalling 260MW to an unnamed local developer for the Hanuman wind complex at Chaiyaphum in northeast Thailand.
The deal consists of the supply and commissioning of 103 G126-2.5MW machines, which will have 153-metre towers and 62-metre blades.
Delivery is scheduled for May 2018, with commissioning slated for later that year.
Siemens Gamesa will also maintain the wind farm.
Siemens Gamesa Asia-Pacific region chief executive Álvaro Bilbao said: “We are very proud to have secured this order which highlights our commercial strength and positions us as the leading OEM in Thailand.”
