ABO Wind has started construction of its first solar plant in Iran at Saidabad in Semnan province.
The project will consist of more than 4100 photovoltaic modules, 18 inverters and have capacity of 1.3MW.
Saidabad will go online at the end of November.
ABO Wind head of project development in new markets Florian Lüders said: “We are well on schedule with our first Iranian project.”
Meanwhile, Canadian Solar has completed the placement with Goldman Sachs Japan of a ¥7.4bn ($66m) green bond to finance the 27.3MW Tottori solar plant in Japan.
The project, which is located in Tottori prefecture, came online in August and provides electricity for Chugoku Electric Power Company under a 20-year feed-in-tariff contract.
The bond has a dual-tenor maturity of 1.5 years and 18.3 years, Canadian Solar said.
The dual-tenor structure makes full repayment of the bond flexible, while enabling a potential sale of the solar power plant to Canadian Solar Infrastructure Fund, which is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
