James Fisher Subsea Excavation (JFSE) has completed work on cables at the 128MW Formosa 1 offshore wind farm in Taiwan.
JFSE deployed a shallow draft Twin R2000 spread to de-bury and retrench a cable for contractor Woen Jinn Harbor (WJH) as part of maintenance at the project.
The first two-turbine 8MW phase of Formosa 1 went live earlier this year.
The job was JFSE’s first project in the Asia Pacific renewables industry.
JFSE regional director Asia Pacific Richard Beattie said: “We are delighted to have successfully completed our first project in Taiwan and provided WJH with the perfect solution for its subsea excavation requirements.”
