German manufacturer Enercon is setting up two training centres in the French region of Hauts-de-France.
Construction of one facility is underway at Longueil-Saint-Marie, where a concrete tower factory is located.
Enercon said that from 2018 up to 350 people a year will receive training at the site on how to work with its 2MW turbine platform.
The second centre has been built at Le Meux and will host up to 600 people a year taking courses covering electrical engineering, mechanics and safety.
Personal development, IT and language training courses will also be on offer, Enercon said.
Enercon France director Peter Schuster said: “Our two new training sites in France emphasise both the significance of the French market for wind energy, and the importance of our sector in boosting the regional economy in France.”
