SSE Renewables has contracted two Seacat Services crew transfer vessels to support construction at its 588MW Beatrice wind farm off the coast of Scotland.
The UK outfit’s 26-metre catamaran Seacat Intrepid (pictured) will start a two-year charter at the project on 25 September.
The Intrepid will be joined at the wind farm by sister vessel Seacat Courageous early next year, the company said.
Seaway Heavy Lifting installed the first of 84 jacket foundations in the Outer Moray Firth last month.
The project will feature Siemens 7MW turbines and is due to be completed in 2019.
