Utility developer Eon has been given the green light to build the 59.4MW Benbrack wind farm in the southwest of Scotland.
Scottish ministers approved the 18-turbine development near Carsphairn in Dumfries and Galloway following a public inquiry.
Benbrack will feature hardware of up to 130 metres with rotors of up to 100 metres. Turbines of 3.3MW are in the frame.
The wind farm started life in 2012 as a 27-turbine project but was refined through the planning process.
