Acta Marine has christened its new Ulstein SX195 offshore wind construction support vessel Acta Auriga, after the constellation Auriga which means ‘the charioteer’.
The walk-to-walk vessel is currently under construction at the Crist shipyard in Poland and is expected to be towed to Ulsteinvik in Norway in early November.
In Norway, Ulstein Verft will complete the outfitting of the vessel, including the installation of SMST’s motion compensated gangway and 3D crane.
Delivery of the completed vessel is expected in the first quarter of 2018.
The vessel will be 93.4 metres long and will accommodate up to 120 people.
