BayWa is offering operators of German wind farms that cease to qualify for the country’s feed-on tariff (FiT) guidance on the future operation of projects.
The new product called ‘WindGuide 20+’ BayWa includes an initial assessment of energy marketing, location-specific re-powering and the removal and sale of used installations.
The 20-year FiT scheme will end for an increasing number of projects in the coming years, BayWa said.
The company added that it has also developed partnership models for public utilities, project developers and larger energy companies in response to Germany’s amended framework conditions for renewables, such as wind tenders.
BayWa’s operations and maintenance (O&M) team has also developed a new IT security system for renewable energies which “controls the entire communication with wind and solar farms while taking top safety standards into account”.
The company has also set up the TBF partner network. Under this scheme, BayWa will take care of wind turbine monitoring of wind turbines or 24/7 on-call availability for project developers.
BayWa will be at the Husum Wind 2017 trade fair from 12-15 September to present the initiatives.
