Subsea UK is urging its member companies to take advantage of the “huge opportunity” offered by the offshore wind sector.
The organisation, which has more than 300 members, said the UK has the skills and expertise to lead the way in a market expected to see a rise in expenditure to over £350bn by 2026.
Subsea UK will run an event on 20 September in Aberdeen to explore offshore wind developments that are currently underway, and offer practical help and advice to companies looking to access the market.
The meeting will by chaired by Subsea UK chief executive Neil Gordon and include speakers from Siem Offshore Contractors, Ecosse Subsea Systems, DeepOcean and James Fisher Marine Services.
Gordon said: “The offshore wind market is growing at an incredible rate, presenting a wealth of opportunities for the UK supply chain.
“By closely examining some of the developments that have proven to be successful, we can help companies overcome the barriers and make their mark in the offshore wind sector.”
