East Ayrshire council has lodged no objection to Banks Renewables’s proposed 74.8MW Lethans wind project, located east of New Cumnock in Scotland.
The development proposal will now go to the Scottish government’s Energy and Consents Department for a final determination.
Banks last week submitted revised project plans to the Scottish government reducing the number of turbines to 22 from 26.
The resubmission, first reported in the latest issue of subscriber-only newsletter reNEWS, also removed five turbines that were originally proposed to be located on a ridge and instead place dthem within a valley area.
