Vestas has unveiled a plan to grow its turbine service and maintenance business by more than 50% over the next three years.
The Danish turbine manufacturer said it already services 71GW globally but is looking to expand its “multi-brand service solutions”.
“As a result of higher than anticipated growth in the service business, Vestas has decided to increase its strategic ambition for the area,” it said in Q2 results today.
“The new target is to grow its service business by more than 50% organically towards 2020 versus 2016 revenue, while at the same time deliver best-in-class margins.”
Service agreements at the Danish company totalled just over €11bn at end-June 2017.
