Semco Maritime has secured two three-year offshore service contracts with Iberdrola covering scheduled and unscheduled maintenance at the Baltic Eagle and Wikinger offshore wind farms in Germany.
The deals cover above-water electro-mechanical equipment at two substations in the Baltic Hub cluster and include extension options.
Semco said the work will be coordinated as a single project to streamline operations and reduce costs and risks across both sites.
The company added that the transition phase is already under way to ensure continuity after the end of the Baltic Eagle interim contract, building on lessons learned from past work at Wikinger.
Mads S. Iversholt, senior director of offshore wind service at Semco Maritime, said: “We are pleased to expand our collaboration with Iberdrola with these two long-term service agreements in the Baltic Sea.
“Besides our already strong renewables service footprint in the North Sea area, we are supporting clients regionally and globally as an independent service provider, matching our flexible service approach with individual business needs as partners.”
The 350MW Wikinger and 476MW Baltic Eagle wind farms are located near the island of Rügen in Germany’s Baltic Sea exclusive economic zone.
