ScottishPower Renewables has awarded contracts to Seajacks for work on the 350MW Wikinger offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea and Gardline for surveys at the East Anglia offshore zone off the UK east coast.
Seajacks Kraken vessel is currently supporting work on the offshore substation at Wikinger, which will run through the summer.
Gardline is carrying out pre-construction surveys across the 714MW East Anglia 1, 800MW EA2 and 800MW EA1 North offshore wind farm sites.
SPR said the work is underway off the UK coast and will continue until September.
SPR managing director of offshore wind Jonathan Cole said: “Seajacks and Gardline are at the forefront of their respective fields, and we look forward to a successful partnership with both companies as they deliver important projects for our global offshore wind power developments.”
