EDP Renewables net profit soared 128% in the first half of 2017 to €134m, up from €59m in the same period last year.
Revenue was up 11% at €988m, compared with €889m in 2016, while earnings grew 11% also to €719m in the first six months of the year, from €648m last year.
The company said the main reasons for the growth were higher production resulting from more capacity and increased wind resources.
Installed capacity stood at just over 10GW at the end of June, up from just under 9.4GW last year.
EDPR said it produced 14.5 terrawatt hours of electricity (TWh) in the first six months of 2017, up 9% on the 13.3TWh generated in the same period last year.
Europe accounted for over 5GW of installed capacity, North America 4.9GW and Brazil 204MW, the company said.
