Jacobs Engineering Group is to carry out project management and owners engineers’ services at the 200MW Silverton wind farm in Australia.
The A$450m project, which will be located in western New South Wales, is being developed by the Powering Australian Renewables Fund (PARF).
PARF was set up by Australian company AGL Energy to develop, own and manage approximately 1GW of renewable energy infrastructure assets and projects.
Queensland investment manager QIC is a partner in PARF on behalf of its clients the Future Fund and investors in the QIC Global Infrastructure Fund.
The Future Fund is a sovereign wealth fund that aims to invest in projects that benefit future generations of Australians.
Jacobs senior vice president Patrick Hill said: “This project builds on the support we have provided AGL in the renewables market, delivering two of Australia’s largest solar power plants at Nyngan and Broken Hill.”
