Belgium’s Parliament has voted through legislation necessary for the construction of a new modular offshore grid hub in the Belgian North Sea.
The law will become effective once it is published.
Grid operator Elia will be investing a total of €400m in the grid project.
The hub would create an export route for more than 1GW of offshore wind projects including Rentel, Northwest 2, Mermaid and Seastar.
