Acciona Energy International has become sole owner of the 76MW Ripley wind farm in Ontario in Canada, having acquired Suncor Energy’s 50% stake in the project.
Ripley, which is located near the eastern shore of Lake Huron, was originally built as a joint venture by Suncor and Acciona in 2007.
The wind farm has a 20-year power purchase agreement in place with the Independent Electricity System Operator.
Acciona operates 181MW of wind projects in Canada, of which 141MW is owned by the company.
