A syndicate of banks has restructured a €53m loan granted for the construction and operation of a 22MW wind farm in Sicily.
The project, which is located in the municipalities of Caltanissetta and Marianopoli, started commercial operations in 2011.
It is owned by a special purpose vehicle (SPV) controlled by French private equity fund Ardian.
The original loan was lent to the SPV in 2010.
International law firm Watson Farley & Williams advised the banks, led by finance partner Pierpaolo Mastromarini with assistance from associate Daniele Pompei.
L&B Partners Studio Legale Associato acted as Ardian’s legal counsel and financial advisers.
