Teesside engineering and fabrication company Francis Brown has increased its staff to 100 on the back of completing orders for several renewable energy projects, including SSE and Innogy’s 504MW Greater Gabbard offshore wind farm.
Francis Brown also said it expects turnover in the current financial year to increase by 30%.
Francis Brown chief executive Jamie Brown said: “This year is demonstrating the many opportunities that lie ahead after what – for many – has been a challenging time in the oil and gas industry.
“For us, the success shows that we have remained strong in our core sectors, whilst extending our skill set into emerging markets where we know growth is taking place.”
