Danish consultancy Ramboll has been contracted by Huadong Engineering Corp to design foundations for State Power Investment Corp’s (SPIC’s) 300MW Binhai South Phase 3 offshore wind farm in the Yellow Sea.
The work involves geotechnical investigations, numerical modelling of waves, currents and tides and the design of monopiles for 75 turbines.
Ramboll has previously worked on SPIC’s Binhai North 1 and 2 projects, designing foundations and a 400MW substation.
Ramboll Energy global market director Soren Juel Petersen said: “We are excited to have the opportunity to work on yet another offshore wind projects in China.”
