Azure Power has commissioned a 100MW solar power plant in Andhra Pradesh.
The project covers 200 hectares in the Kurnool Ultra Mega Solar Park, which will have a total capacity of over 1GW.
Kurnool is being developed by the Solar Park Implementation Agency and Andhra Pradesh Solar Power Corp.
Azure Power will supply electricity generated by the 100MW project to state power utility NTPC for 25 years.
Azure Power founder and chief executive Inderpreet Wadhwa said: “With the commissioning of this plant, we have once again demonstrated our strong project development, engineering and execution capabilities.”
