MHI Vestas has chartered United Wind Logistics specialised vessel Vestvind to carry V164 turbine components.
The vessel (pictured), which features the MHI Vestas logo for the first time, is transporting turbine components to Belfast for the first phase of the Walney 3 offshore wind farm off the UK west coast.
MHI Vestas chief operations officer Flemming Ougaard said: “This is yet another milestone for our company, we’re very proud to partner with United Wind Logistics in the long-term charter of the transport vessel Vestvind.
“This massive ship not only makes our operations more efficient, but also is powerful evidence of our relentless dedication to driving down the cost of energy.”
