A unit of BayWa has acquired solar-diesel hybrid specialist OneShore Energy as it expands its off-grid offering.
The deal follows the successful completion of an initial joint project between the two German companies in Rwanda.
“It was clear to us that the software-based analysis and planning tools from OneShore Energy and our portfolio in the photovoltaic segment complement each other perfectly,” BayWa r.e managing director Günter Haug said.
Diesel generators are commonly found in countries with no reliable electricity supply.
