Scottish offshore outfit Motive Spooling and Inspection has hired Ally Forbes as general manager and Claire Forbes as operations coordinator to oversee the businesses operations.
The unit is part of marine specialists Motive Offshore Group and has attracted £1m worth of new North Sea contracts since its launch six months ago.
The division is currently working with a range of clients from a variety of industries including offshore renewables, subsea vessel operators/owners, drilling contractors in the UK and worldwide.
Motive Offshore Group’s James Gregg said: “We are delighted to have signed an agreement with Ally and Claire, who have a wealth of industry experience.
“The move is in line with our plans to grow and develop the business both in the current markets we are operating in and within new markets on a global level.”
Motive Offshore Group recently launched Motive Fabrication in Dundee after successfully negotiating with the port to take over a deepwater quayside facility, alongside a workshop and office block.
The base will allow Motive Fabrication to reinstate the fabrication service at the Port for subsea contractors and vessel owners, the company said.
