The Renewables Infrastructure Group (TRIG) has completed the acquisition of the 34MW Garreg Lwyd Hill wind farm in Wales from RES for £100m.
The operational project is located in Powys and consists of 17 Vestas V100 2MW turbines.
It qualifies for the UK’s renewables obligation scheme and has a power purchase agreement with Shell Energy.
Vestas will provide operations and maintenance to the facility.
The acquisition, which brings TRIG’s portfolio to 55 projects with total capacity of 754MW, was financed from the proceeds of a recent share issuance, the company said.
