Innogy has hired a team of technicians from Westnetz-Monteure to provide support in case of cable faults at the 295MW Nordsee Ost offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
A team of six from the regional centre in Munster has been trained at Cuxhaven to provide services offshore for the wind farm.
The training included fire fighting exercises, learning to work at high altitudes, how to master an emergency descent into water and a helicopter rescue.
Nordsee Ost consists of 48 Senvion 6.2M126 turbines and has been operational since 2015.
