Principle Power and Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding are to collaborate further on floating offshore wind projects in Japan.
The partners said the agreement represents a continuation of a cooperative relationship first established for the design of the WindFloat offshore scheme that will be deployed in Japanese waters
The new agreement establishes a framework for the development of multiple floating projects in Japan and other markets and enhancing the design of WindFloat.
Principle Power president and chief executive Joao Metelo said: “We are very excited about the opportunities our ongoing collaboration with (Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding) can deliver, not only for our work together, but for the floating offshore wind industry in Japan and potentially elsewhere.”
