Danish company Windar Photonics has won an order for 15 lidars for deployment in China from an unnamed regional distributor.
The WindEye units are scheduled to be delivered in the second quarter of this year.
Windar said the lidars are expected to be installed at an offshore wind farm site in the Asian country.
“They will be integrated directly into the wind turbine control system for optimisation of yaw alignment to increase the average power generation on the individual wind turbines,” the company said.
