Infinergy has kicked off the early stages of planning for a third phase at the operational 69MW Lochluichart wind farm in Highland Scotland.
The developer has initiated scoping for up to eight additional turbines at the project some 18km northwest of Dingwall.
The boost was first reported exclusively in subscriber-only newsletter reNEWS.
Lochluichart 3 is based on 3MW hardware and will extend the operational site to the north.
The first two phases (pictured) were also developed by Infinergy and are owned by Dutch energy company Eneco.
Lochluichart features Siemens 3MW turbines and tips at the extension are set at 125 metres to provide continuity.
